Our Guides
At London History Taxi Tours, our team consists of local London Black Cab drivers who are also qualified Tour Guides. We have a deep love for London, and after completing the rigorous Knowledge of London course (a 3-5 year training to become a Black Taxi driver), we became certified tour guides.
Our shared passion for history connects us all. Each of us has a unique connection to the city, and after becoming qualified Cabbie Guides, we’ve committed ourselves to extensive research and learning. For example, Billy holds an honours degree in history, Tony has completed a Westminster walking tour course, and our other guides continue to study the rich and diverse history of London and Britain.
With over 2,000 years of recorded history across the United Kingdom, Great Britain, and England, our guides are passionate about sharing this knowledge with guests on our Private Taxi Tours in London. Our tours are thoughtfully scripted, yet delivered naturally and enthusiastically, backed by in-depth research. Whether you’re a history enthusiast or a casual sightseer, we have tours to suit all interests.
Whether it’s your first, second, or tenth visit to London, you might still feel a bit overwhelmed and wish for a helping hand to guide you through the city’s many offerings. That’s where Billy comes in!
When you book any tour or transfer with London History Taxi Tours, you’ll automatically gain access to our complimentary “Mobile Concierge” service. This includes personalised advice on the best places to stay, activities to enjoy, top eateries to try, areas to explore, and even transportation or itinerary recommendations. Simply contact us when you book, and we’ll be happy to provide Billy’s expert guidance to make your Private Taxi Tours in London even more enjoyable.
