The maximum group size varies depending on the tour. Please check the tour description for specific details. The taxi can fit up to 6 people, but due to the layout of the London Black Cab, especially with large amounts of luggage and wheelchairs this may be less. If you need a tour for more than 6 people, you will need to discuss with us. You would not necessarily pay the same rate for extra taxis, but extra costs are needed to pay for the extra guides.

The prices are per taxi. Tours are priced for up to 6 people, however, if you require multiple vehicles with multiple guides, this needs to be discussed with us.

Yes, frequently – unless you prefer not to due to mobility issues. The tour takes advantage of the Black Taxi Cab to journey across the city, seeing much in one tour, but you will get out at each major site for narrated history and photos.

We understand that cancellations are due to inconveniences and unforeseen circumstances, so if you do need to cancel, please contact us asap and let us know of the situation. Whilst we have cancellation policies in place, please reach out to us – we care. Certain circumstances may warrant a larger refund than our Standard Refund:

Standard: Cancellations for bookings before 48 hours of travel date incur a 33.33% – £150 minimum cancellation fee – the rest will be refunded

Yes, our tours offer pickups from specified locations (hotels in Central London or airports, for example) and drop-offs are included if needed.

The tour is a private tour that involves driving around London in an iconic Black London Taxi, driven by an authentic London Black Cab Driver who is also your tour guide. The tour involves stopping off at numerous locations, varying from the landmarks to the lesser known (yet still fascinating) locations and getting out for narrated history and photography opportunities. Tours such as Billy’s Black Cab Tour of London includes photography and editing by Billy himself.

You can book a taxi tour at www.londonhistorytaxitours.com. We offer private London Sightseeing Tours as well as other English excursions including the Cotswolds, Stonehenge, Windsor and more!

Do we go into any attractions during the tour?2024-09-13T12:01:42+00:00

We do not include admission into the main attractions on our tours, as this takes a great deal of time of the tour (for example, the Tower of London takes around 3 hours). However, if you wish to do a Whole Day Tour and include going inside the attractions, this can be arranged. Locations that we would typically go inside are the lesser known smaller attractions rather than the famous locations.

London History Taxi Tour’s 4-hour tour is our bestseller, as well as Billy’s Black Cab Tour of London. The 4-hour tour is enough time to see the highlights of London and some Secret London locations. Not so long it takes up a day, but the perfect way to see London in a day.

Our tours are all private tours, each booking is with one guide and one vehicle, unless you have a larger party that requires multiple vehicles.

The tour durations vary, our shortest tour is 3 hours (our Highlights Sightseeing Tour) and our longest is the Whole Day Sightseeing Tour at 8 hours which includes up to 2 hours for a lunch break. The Whole Day Tour allows you to see a London in day.

However, you may wish to consider at least 5 days with a packed itinerary if you want to do as much as possible: London is 2000 years, and is a big city which much to offer!
