After a summer of hard work, we have our new website live! But this summer has been a busy one all around. We’ve taken on some more guides, expanding the team of London History Taxi Tours. Guides have been learning new material, include expansions to our Cotswolds Tours, excursion tours to Canterbury and more!
Furthermore, I (Billy) graduated my degree in History last Friday (2oth September). I had the option of choosing numerous locations, but I selected my graduation ceremony: Barbican, in the City of London.
But with the degree done, there’re more work to come! With the new website, I shall be posting more blogs than before, and more with a specific focus on the history of London. The goal, overall is to be working on publishing a history book on London, but for now, the blogs on the website and social media shall be the focus. Furthermore, I’ll be busy setting up the new packages, tours, services and more at www.londonhistorytaxitours.com . We’ve established fantastic connections with others in the tourism industry, and it is my job – as well as providing the tours themselves – to show what makes London History Taxi Tours so special.

We are London Black Cab Drivers ( or London Taxi Drivers ) who use the taxis as the perfect platform to conduct narrated bespoke Black Cab Tours of London that are suitable for everyone ranging from casual sightseers to keen history buffs. Our team are all certified as Cabbie Guides with a qualification accredited by the Worshipful Company of Hackney Carriage Drivers: a guild – or livery company – recognised in 1990 as a fellowship, its livery granted in 2004, and lastly, granted a Royal Charter and presented by then Prince Charles (now King Charles III) in 2013.
The course we embarked on established a routes as tour guides of London, since then we have each pursued a plethora of means of education – ranging from formal to informal reason. But what matters… is our passion.
At London History Taxi Tours, we have a motto: Learn London – Love London – Live London. It admittedly took us sometime to work out this order, but whilst some would argue you live the experience of something to eventually love it, we argue you learn about London, love what you’ve learned and you finish your visit having truly experienced it – hence live.
